A song of feelings

Recalling a song from one of my favorite game series of all time, Final Fantasy.

The song is very beautiful, and lately I've been recalling it, I'm not sure why... the lyrics are very meaningful as well..

Suteki Dane

Original / Romaji LyricsEnglish Translation
kaze ga yoseta kotoba ni
oyoida kokoro
kumo ga hakobu ashita ni
hazunda koe
The wind, like a heart that swam in the accumulated words
The clouds, a voice that was shot into the holding future
tsuki ga yureru kagami ni
furueta kokoro
hoshi ga nagare koboreta
yawarakai namida
The moon, a shaking heart in an unsteady mirror
The stars, gentle tears in an overflowing stream
suteki da ne
futari te wo tori aruketa nara
ikitai yo
KIMI no machi ie ude no naka
Isn't it beautiful, to walk together in each others hands
I do so want to go,
To your city, your house, into your arms.
sono mune
karada azuke
yoi ni magire
yumemiru
That heart,
held within your body
In those confusing nights
I dream
kaze wa tomari kotoba wa
yasashii maboroshi
kumo wa yabure ashita wa
tooku no koe
The wind, its halting words are a gentle illusion
The clouds, the broken future like a distant voice
tsuki ga nijimu kagami wo
nagareta kokoro
hoshi ga yurete koboreta
kakusenai namida
The moon, a heart flowing in the clouded mirror
The stars, broken and swaying, like tears unable to be hidden.
suteki da ne
futari te wo tori aruketa nara
ikitai yo
KIMI no machi ie ude no naka
Isn't it beautiful, to walk together in each others hands
I do so want to go,
To your city, your house, into your arms.
sono kao
sotto furete
asa ni tokeru
yumemiru
That face,
A soft touch,
Dissolving into morning,
I dream.

The unforgettable experience..

Something happened yesterday, that I'll never forget...

Something which would alter my life from here on end...

Something which I'll cherish from the bottom of my heart...

Something which I want to tell out, but will never be able to be put into words...

Something which no matter how I want to tell about, it can never come out correctly...

Something.....

The word now that lingers in my mind whenever I think of it... "embraced"

It'll never mean the same for me again... it now has a totally new meaning for me... so much deeper, so much more ... intense...

So much so, that I'm at a point that I'm lost... and don't know what to do .... how do I proceed... How do I push for the better... I am lost....

rant of nothingness ..

It's interesting how life can play it's little tricks on a person ~

On one hand, everything seems to be going your way, the next thing you know it, a sunny day becomes a thunder storm... the bright sky become dark...

I've always believed that everything happens for a reason. Circumstances do change a person as well. So, is a person, really him-/her-self at the end of the day ? Or is it just a by-product of what life-experience he/she went through ?

Is he/she really true to themself ? Or are they just cheating themself, saying that it's their self, but it's actually just a façade, with their true self hidden behind it?

Just a random rant...

A Movie Marathon Extravaganza ~

Let me first start of this blog with a writing of my experience during the Japanese Film Festival held this year. It was held in Mid Valley Megamall and 1 Utama shopping centre from the 17th to the 21st of July.

The movies which were screened were:

• TOKYO TOWER - Mom & Me, and sometimes Dad - / 東京タワー オカンとボクと、時々オトン
Directed by MATSUOKA Joji 松岡 錠司 (2007, 142min)

• Ultraman Mebius & Ultraman Brothers / ウルトラマンメビウス&ウルトラ兄弟
Directed by KONAKA Kazuya 小中 和哉 (2006, 93min)

• The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (Animation) / 時をかける少女
Directed by HOSODA Mamoru 細田 守 (2006, 98min)

• Fourteen / 14歳
Directed by HIROSUE Hiromasa 廣末 哲万 (2006, 114min)

• Tony Takitani / トニー滝谷
Directed by ICHIKAWA Jun 市川 準 (2004, 75min)

• Memories of Matsuko / 嫌われ松子の一生
Directed by NAKASHIMA Tetsuya 中島 哲也 (2006, 130min)

• Kaidan / 怪談

• Harp of Burma / ビルマの竪琴

• Ten Dark Women / 黒い十人の女
Directed by ICHIKAWA Kon市川 崑 (1961, 103min)

• Dora-Heita / どら平太
Directed by ICHIKAWA Kon市川 崑 (2000, 111min)

Of these movies, I managed to catch 5 of it... in 2 days! It was a pretty tight schedule, but hey, at least I enjoyed doing it =P

Anyways, the ones I managed to watch was (in the order I watched):
• Tony Takitani / トニー滝谷
• Ultraman Mebius & Ultraman Brothers / ウルトラマンメビウス&ウルトラ兄弟
• TOKYO TOWER - Mom & Me, and sometimes Dad - / 東京タワー オカンとボクと、時々オトン
• Fourteen / 14歳
• Memories of Matsuko / 嫌われ松子の一生

I'll get into the movies another time. But what I wanted to mention here was how I went through the 2 days watching these movies. I watched it on Saturday and Sunday consecutively.

Initially on Saturday I wanted to watch 2 movies, but unfortunately, due to a super-crowd (I think because of the mega-sales and all...) in Mid Valley megamall, I only managed to get "Tony Takitani". Since I was there, I bought a ticket for the following day for "Memories of Matsuko" at 9pm.

After watching the movie, I met a good friend there in mid Valley. We met up to meet our old college friends later in the night (A story for another day I suppose..). Suffice to say, that day was fully occupied =P

The next day I had one Hell of a hectic movie schedule! I got up by 7.30am, planned for the day, and immediately headed off to 1 Utama. I went there because the movies I wanted to watch were screened there for the day.

Managed to arrive around 11am. I thought I had a lot of time to buy the ticket as the first movie was suppose to start at 12pm. The moment I arrived at the ticket counter, I saw a long line of customers, which is pretty unusual, especially for 1 Utama! Apparently, the counters were still closed and there were staff selling tickets manually, bringing out tickets and letting the customers choose for themselves!!

A line which would have taken 10-15 minutes, now took 45 minutes to an hour! Luckily I managed to get the tickets before the movie began... So, the schedule for the day was:

Ultraman Mebius & Ultraman Brothers 12.00pm
TOKYO TOWER - Mom & Me, and sometimes Dad 2.05pm
Fourteen 6.45pm
Memories of Matsuko 9.00pm

So, everything looked okay and probable. There was only one problem... the last movie for the day was screened in Mid Valley, and not 1 utama!! As the movie "Fourteen" is almost 2 hours long, It would take me a miracle to arrive in Mid Valley on time for the next movie!!

Anyways, I left it to chance to see what happens when the time comes, worse case, forfeit the movie..

When the time did come, "Fourteen" finished at exactly 9pm (damn it..). Anyways, seeing as I had nothing much to do that night, I decided to drive over to Mid Valley and watch what was left of the movie ("Memories of Matsuko" is more than 2 hours long.. @.@). To my surprise, there was absolutely no congestion all the way to Mid Valley..!! I managed to get to the carpark of Mid valley in approximately 15 minutes flat! So I took the closest carpark to the cinema level, locked my car, ran to the cinema, sat back in the cinema, and enjoyed the movie =P I did miss the beginning, the movie was about.. 15 minutes running when I arrived, but it was still enjoyable nevertheless =D

Anyways, it was a fun and hectic weekend for me during those 2 days! I'll continue again another time ~

(The movie schedule and listing were obtained from Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur)
